Konnie Huq (Born Kanak Asha Huq or ??? ??) was born in London, England to Muslim Bangladeshi parents. She got her first big break as a guest on Blue Peter as a child. In her youth she also appeared on Blockbusters as a contestant, she was on sitcom 2point4 Children playing a schoolchild and Newsround as an interviewer. She is best known for being the longest serving female presenter on BBC children's television programme Blue Peter. She is married to comedian and writer Charlie Brooker.
