John Gavin Poster

John Gavin (born April 8, 1931) was an American film actor and a former United States Ambassador to Mexico. Gavin is half Mexican and fluent in Spanish. He is probably best known for the part of Sam Loomis, Janet Leigh's boyfriend in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and as Julius Caesar in Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus. Millie Dillmount, a fearless young lady fresh from Salina, Kansas, determined to experience Life, sets out to see the world in the rip-roaring Twenties. With high spirits and wearing one of those new high hemlines, she arrives in New York to test the "modern" ideas she had been reading about back in Kansas: "I've taken the girl out of Kansas. Now I have to take Kansas out of the girl!"

Spartacus (1960)

The rebellious Thracian Spartacus, born and raised a slave, is sold to Gladiator trainer Batiatus. After weeks of being trained to kill for the arena, Spartacus turns on his owners and leads the other slaves in rebellion. As the rebels move from town to town, their numbers swell as escaped slaves join their ranks. Under the leadership of Spartacus, they make their way to southern Italy, where they will cross the sea and return to their homes.
