From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born June 10, 1963) is an American film and television actress. She was brought to the public's attention through her supporting role in the 1992 film Basic Instinct, and since 2006 has starred opposite Bill Paxton in the HBO drama Big Love.
