The two daughters of Sivagami, an arrogant millionaire, fall in love with petty thieves. So, she arranges for them to be married off to French princes.

The story of the film is loosely based on a novel named 'Godavari Kathalu', written by BVS Rama Rao. The film is set in 1986, in Bangarappeta village near Rajahmundry. Malli (Aadhi) and Chitra (Lakshmi Manchu) is a newlywed couple who are forced to battle it out against a devastating flood of the River Godavari. They lose all hope of survival, so they decide to narrate the darkest moments of their lives to each other after they find a support to rest on.

Student leader in his college, popular collegian, Prabhu, is asked by the Principal to invite the Governor of state, Ranjit Singh Rathore, to be the chief guest on the annual day of the college. When he goes to invite Ranjit, he meets his daughter, Shruthi, and falls in love with her. She too falls in love with him. Since there is fear of terrorism in the state, Ranjit does not permit his daughter to travel without bodyguards. On one occasion, she does manage to give them the slip and runs away

Sathurangam is a 2011 Tamil political drama film directed by Karu Pazhaniappan, starring Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal. The film's background score was composed by Vidyasagar, and his soundtrack was released in 2004. Filming was completed in 2006 but the film remained unreleased for five years. The project was revived in September 2011, and released on 7 October 2011. Srikanth's character in the film is named after Thirupathisamy, the late director of the films Azad and Narasimha, who was Karu Pazh
