Claes Olle Ruben Östlund (born 13 April 1974 in Styrsö) is a Swedish filmmaker. His film The Square (2017) won Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He also won the Palme d'Or in 2022 for Triangle of Sadness. Östlund was born in Styrsö, Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden.
