Nalla Sivam and Anbarasu meet under different circumstances and their lives are changed as they take the journey of their life.

An old man who depends on his family is not particularly liked due to his irksome habits. It all changes when the family learns that he owns a large rubber estate.

Radha, a theatre artist, struggles to run her poor family. Her life takes a turn when she agrees to pretend as the fiance of Raghu, a widower, to help him to get his son back from the care takers.

When Dr Haridas meets a poor villager, he realises that in college he had bullied and unknowingly killed the villager's son. He decides to atone for his mistake and help the poor family.

The plot is structured around the search for a missing infamous tabla player of a touring drama group. Sub Inspector Jacob Eeraly (Mammootty), investigates the missing tabla player, Aiyappan (Bharath Gopi), a raging alcoholic and a criminal. Investigation of members of the drama group reveals complicated sexual rivalries and internal conflicts within the group, yielding several possible suspects to the conspiracy.

Ponnum Kudthinu Pottu is a 1986 Indian Malayalam film, directed by TS Suresh Babu and produced by M Mani. The film stars Nedumudi Venu, Shankar, Menaka and Jagathy Sreekumar in lead roles. The film had musical score by Shyam.
